One To Watch

The once so mighty wNv is about to face the ambitious Germans from ID Gaming.

Both teams won their first match with ease. Now its time to get some decent resistance.

The last few years everyone feared the Chinese and they controversial style of approaching the game. For long the European top teams couldn't put up much resistance.

But times have certainly changed and wNv.cn have lost their unbeatable aura. The only reason for wNv.cn being here today, after losing the qualification in

China, is due to x7-Hackers bad luck. A wild card built the road for wNv to attend this years ESWC.

In the qualifier wNv.cn lost 16-14 to TR.Victory and 16-12 to X7-Hacker
and with the difficulties they have always had in events outside Asia, they surely don't look like a contender for the World Championship title.

That being said; wNv consists of 5 extremely talented and what it seems most European teams are missing - dedicated players. Perhaps their dark horse status suits them just fine and might cause their opponents to underestimate them.

ID Gaming started out very well this year with decent results both online and offline, but finishing 8th and thereby exactly in the middle of the German EPS shows what kind of problems this team is struggling with. Being mediocre! ID Gaming simply isn’t on the same level as the best.

One can understand why SK Gaming is having a hard time accepting why they still aren't invited to the tournament, but ESWC is after all the World Cup!

ESWC is the last chance for ID Gaming to turn around a disastrous season and exactly that might boost their performance beyond their actual skills.
